Conan, Rachel and Richard came into the Maru’s family home. When Richard spoke with his client, his client was leaving because there was a guest. But after a long wait, his client did not return. Hearing the maid screamed, Conan and the others ran into the room. His client Richard found and murdered to cruel and all rooms are scratches with sword!

Then came the three people had promised to meet with the client of Richard. The three men were also told that they left a message on the phone. But one of the phone message was lost. When Inspector Meguire come, and suddenly corpse disappeared. Resident of the house who arrogantly told them that there was no corpse in his house.

The man then go to the second floor and sleep. Then his brother came home and went looking for the corpse around the house. But the body was not there. Junior Detective League considered lying. Junior Detective League did not accept what Inspector Meguire said, then returned to the house at night. Conan then found peculiarities to the case and solve the trick.

Conan, Rachel and Richard went to Okayama hot spring and met with the author Sasai. When Sasai asked Rachel to take her picture, there was a police detective. He said a novelist who was staying with Sasai was shot to dead. Looking at the mess scene, Richard thought that act of theft. But police detectives suspected Sasai.

Sasai show his photographs and refused the accusation. Conan get difficult to solve alibi of Sasai.
